Hi there. My name is Megan Suedhoff and I am a cake decorator living in Export, Pennsylvania. It's a small suburban town 25 minutes east of Pittsburgh. I'm a traditional decorator (no Cricut or other shortcuts here) but I love to be challenged with unique designs and interesting flavor combinations. I studied Animal Science at Michigan State University where I fell in love with my job.... cake decorating for the university's bakery! This is why you'll see a lot of MSU themed cakes. :)
Cake decorating, for me, is a means to unleash my artistic side, an outlet for my perfectionism and an expression of my sentimental nature. I believe we all have a creative side. I am happy to have discovered mine in sugar. I love turning dreams into real life sweets and I love meeting new friends- the perfect combination. I am a wife and the mother to one super cool little boy and a very spunky little girl. I am a passionate cook who enjoys entertaining. I am an avid adventurer (hiking, camping, snorkeling, scuba diving, you name it), seasoned crafter, I'm afraid of the dark, and I LOVE to dance.
I currently decorate cakes out of my home and enjoy every second of it. I make all cakes, fillings, icings, and even the fondant from scratch. I use only Pensey spices and King Arthur flours.
